Recently I finished the cover and package for a CD by my friend MIKE GENTRY. I will post the images after the album drops later this month. My friend Kristine McCullen did the design. I worked with Kristine on many projects over the years and it was good to work with her again.

Mike will be playing in Ann Arbor at THE ARK on July 10th. This will be his record release party. I will of course be there and look forward to it. 

Mikes CD is a combination of Ryan Adams meets George Strait meets Cowboy Junkies. I have listened to it over and over and I'm sure you will dig it. Mike will be playing with a full band. This is rare so.....come out. This one is gonna be sweet.

My photoshop class has ended and I get to start it all over again in a week. I teach at Washtenaw Community College. Ok...that's all,random thoughts. Sorry.

I am always looking for new projects to work on. Illustration is my first love but of course I am looking for chances to work with other creative people on a variety of projects. I love portraits and still lives and landscapes and children books. If that's you, If you are looking for a creative person for your team....I am it. Just putting this out in the world, you never know. 

​I like variety and realize that is also probably my biggest fault. Take time....look around my site.

So it's been a bit since I blogged about anything. I guess that what's new about this site is that I have a store for the first time in years. I have such a weird mix of artwork its hard for me to talk about it most days but i'll try. 

THE DRAWINGS IN MY STORE: These drawings are from my vast array of sketchbooks. I carry one with me always. I draw and doodle ideas all the time for much larger paintings that may or may not ever get painted. I also play with ideas and drawing techniques from time to time. Using pen and paint and pencils all together, I have never really thought of these as being my "art", but just one of the steps in a long process. Over the years, it seemed people were kind of responding to my rough ideas and unfinished thoughts. The more I thought about it, I thought that there may be someone who likes to peek inside the artistic process as much as I do. So here is a small batch of them that I have put on  my site for sale for as low of a price as to make them available to as many people as possible. 

I look at my work in a few ways. My "Normal" paintings of landscapes and still lives is me looking outward and painting things around me. My "Mutations" paintings are me looking inward and painting what I feel or think. So while these two are totally different, they are connected.
